Your daily cup of coffee may be doing more for you than providing that early –morning pick-me-up.
Here are six reasons why coffee may give you a longer life:

Protection against liver cirrhosis

According to a recent study, drinking two cups of coffee per day was linked with a 43 percent reduced risk for cirrhosis, a disease associated with heavy alcohol consumption.

Lowered risk of Type 2 diabetes

Those who consumed six or more cups per day had 22 percent lower risk of diabetes.

Lower risk of heart disease

A review of more than 200 studies found that people who drank three or four cups of coffee per day were 19 percent less likely to die from cardiovascular disease.

Reduced cancer risk

Several studies show that coffee consumption may reduces the risk of colorectal cancer, liver cancer, endometrial cancer, endometrial cancer, and advanced prostate cancer.

Lowered risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia

Studies about coffee intake and brain health calculated that regular coffee drinkers were 16 percent less likely to suffer from Alzheimer’s dementia or cognitive decline.

Reduced depression risk
